Default TT225 Turbo

2001 TT225 6SP. I've seen so many options for upgrade turbo kits. I can't make up my mind. What I want is about 400 WHP. My car is stock other then a aftermark DV, AWE vent gauge and a brand new MAF OEM. I have 56k miles. I want to stay in the $3200 range.

Id say your lucky if you can get the 400 whp with $6000.00. You'll need a serious turbo upgrade and the tuning and full 3 inch exhaust, 3 inch turbo inlet hoses, probably new hoses all around the engine to withstand the heat and pressure. New injectors and with that power a better clutch and better brakes. And of course all the other little things that might pop up during the install and dont forget the price for the labor. But 400 whp would be cool.

How much power would that setup make?

(----the eliminator GTRS kit is now available for the transverse engines! =)

this kit is high quality (those who posted about atps old reputation are correct.. however it's very old.. the company was turned around about 2 years ago) and you'll get just as much power as the apr kits!

one guy already ran a 12.63 with a B6 A4 Wagon for crying out loud!

we have it for $1850.. injectors are $350.. manifold is $350 (probably not necessary on the TT225, however) and the chip we can get you for $890 .. total bill = $3440.. which still leaves you room for a few other upgrades and installations on your $5k budget.)

I was just wondering what pulling 400 WHP out of a 1.8L will do to the poor thing. Can the engine really run like that for the long haul, or is it like feeding coke (not the soda) to a hampster and putting him in the running wheel till his heart explodes?

well this guy told me this so it sounds like I can come close to 400

----------------To reach that goal you would have to go for the GT2871R kit that we have. By the way, this 389whp dyno that you say APR has, have you seen an actual real life replica of that? I'd like to see it. Usually the real life numbers aren't what they advertise.

The kit we have, however, can definitley reach 350+awhp! No doubt in my mind. The price is also about half of their price!! Our kit is only $3149!

you must have been looking at the 180 TT kit, the 225 TT kit is cheaper because most of the stock parts in the car are good for the kit.
