I know all about the 3.0tfsi motor, its probably going to be in the Q7, A6, A5, and S4 too. Audi is very excited about it because by replacing the 4.2 with this they are able to increase the fleet economy by a large ammount.

The TT allready comes with a 3.2L v6, the 3.0tfsi would fit without a problem. Plus an inline 5 would be 5 cylinders straight in a row, and a v6 is only 3. I havent seen any solid evidence for the inline 5 only rumors. There were alot of twin turbo B8 s4 rumors that i wanted to believe and those all turned out to be false.

Id like the inline 5 turbo much better, but id put my money on the 3.0tfsi

No I mean the engine layout/design. A v6 motor & vw's VR6 motor are totally different. VR6 motor sits also in a straight line while the V6 motor sits with 3 to the left (to the left) & 3 to the right. I wish I could explain better. It also has to do with our different AWD systems.

yea, it really has that classic Audi Turbo sound to it. And that is stock, i can only imagine what it would sound like with an aftermarket exhuast and Big Turbo.

The sound of that TT almost gives me the shivers as the WRX STI does even though they are two totally different engine setups(isnt the STI like a boxster flat 6??, im not sure). Like you said, after market cat back......hell turbo back would give a rumble that will make the ladies clothes come off. The way i see it. Just about all of us are riding in the MK1, in a bout 6 years, id say we will all be in those for sure. Just a glimpse into the future for our dear forum.
