Turbo Question

If a turbo is failing, would the check engine light come on? I ask this because I cant hear my turbo as well as I could before, but the car is still pretty quick...so I'm wondering if its just gotten more quiet.

the turbo failing doesnt always set of a cel. Just becuase you cant hear it aswell doesnt mean its failing. Its most likely due to the change in the weather
