Default turn signal stalk

bah....replaced my hazard relay because it was starting to making annoying clicks, but that didnt fix it. So....I assume I need to replace the turn signal stalk, is there a different stalk than stock (say stock stalk 10x quickly :-P) ? If I could use one which would give me the passing blinker fnxn (ya know, tap the stalk, signals blink like 5x) I would rather use that than oem. I am probablly going to have a shop do the labor simply because I dont want to f with that clockspring.

As far as I know, the only passing blinker thing is an aftermarket board you piggyback into the harness or something. Not cheap either, as most convenience mods are....
It was popular on Audiworld (big surprise) a while back, so if thats something you really want (besides fixing your turn signal), start your search there.

I picked one of these up. It was $60 shipped.

easy to install and works great. You can program 3, 4 or 5 blinks.

I think the stalk is in the neighborhood of $180-200ish (only 51% certain on that.)

The blinker mod was $60 shipped and includes a circuit board which you install yourself behind the radio.

It was imported by a guy on AW (MCPAudiTT) that also manufactures the defcon mod.

start your research here: CLICK

yeah i hear ya, its just super annoying and kind of embarassing to have random clicking/ticking, seems especially so after i hit a bump or use the stalk, so i think i am gonna blow some compressed air in there, i doubt it will help but at least it wont hurt
