Default Unfortunately....

I took my car to the shop the other day because the malfunctions light came on. Turns out i need a new catalytic converter. They told me that the part would be around 700-800 dollars. I found one on ebay and it says it would fit my car, but I was just making sure that there wouldn't be a problem with it.

And I am aware that it says california, I live on MD. Would that be a problem ? I drive a 2001 Audi TT Quattro 225.
