Default UPDATE!:potential problem

so today when i was backing out of the driveway i went to turn the wheel to the right, and there was a really loud bang. to the point i ducked cause i thought i was getting shot at, it was loud and scary. so once i established i wasnt under fire (heh) i thought oh **** timing belt. but, the car was still on so i was like weird. i looked around, no tires popped nothing so i drove it. no CELs or anything. BUT, not whenever i turn the wheel all the way right, and sometimes left, it feels like a rub and sounds like a little bang. not as loud. so any ideas what couldve happened? there is an obvious problem with my steering to the right because of it. thanks

inspect ball joints, tie rod ends, and control arms asap. if its any of those parts, failure could be deadly.

ok well are those parts under a substantial amount of tension? i mean it sounded like taking a 2000lb test cable and snapping it under tension

was yourbrake padpossibly rusted to the rotor?

this has caused a pop a few times when backing out of my driveway the day after putting my car in the garage after a bath.

update: i doubt its the brakes...

another pop, this time i was backing out of driveway again wheel turned right...

now, the car literally turns right if i let go of the wheel, im always holding the wheel firm because it is acting as though it is always trying to turn right. so something broke underneath involved with steering that is influencing the car to the right.

thoughts?

you need to get down there and look. check all the before mentioned parts and pay particular attention to axle, tie rod, ball joint.
