vent guage

well i have my awe vent guage and its getting ready to get installed, i was just wondering how long does it actually take to instal it?, just from looking at the parts it doesnt look that hard and the shop i am going to get it done at said it was about a 2 hour install. that seems a little long to me for just a boost guage, did anyone here install their own?

Never installed one, but many have. As a guide take a look at the install pdf from AWE:

it took me about 5 hrs (4hrs was trying to get the damn wiper arms off!!!) very easy install after that though!!! lol

Quick hint... there is a rubber plug through the firewall under the dash, behind the pedals. Use this to run the wiring and tubing through instead of the hassel in the instructions.

Follow the instructions here... much less time consuming:

you only need to run the vacuum hose through the firewall. Wires can be run inside the cabin for power and ground.

the awe cluster and modshack ring both still allow air to pass buy them. But the people throwing 5 5/8 guages in the vents completely block air flow but dont have to buy anything.

its not that big of a diff. plus i rather get a $20 ring from modshack then $250 for the awe gauge and still have air flow.
