Default A very imature question. About the TT's speed

Okay I know street racing is dumb and not safe.

And i stay away from it. Well okay i'm like most guys you have a 16 year old in a 95 civic revving his fart can and making faces at you it's hard not to stomp him.

But my question is this a guy i see from time to time has been trash talking my TT non stop saying it's slow it's ugly it's junk.
He drives a 05 Chevy Cobault LS. So it's not non superchrged one. he cut the muffler off of it saying it makes it go faster it's also a 5 speed said it will waist the TT because his car has the same power to wieght as a corvet.

This all sound very high school but we're both in our 20's.

I guess my question is, is the colbault that quick or is he all talk. my TT is a 100% stock 180 Quatro

Thanks

Your safest bet, is to chip it, and then go find him : )

Guess i'll keep going on this thread with a couple quetions.

looks like our weight is about the same give or take 8lb.

i have 180vs his 145hp
torque is 175 vs his 150.

Only thing is gearing audi doesn't seem to be geared very well for 0-60 times.

I have a couple questions.

First anyone tried doing dual cat back glass pack on an audi? How does the motor respond to pretty much cat back straight pipe.

Also could someone list what i would need to do to hit the 225 audi HP mark?

I'm guessing new air box exhuast and a chip?

Thanks everyone.

Well, turbos like little restriction, so that would be a plus, but it would probably sound like ****, and thats enough of a negative to not do it.

Ha Ha true, guessing it would sound like a fart can ricer which i would hate to do to such a beautiful car.

Guessing a borla dual system is what i'll end up with then.

Man my tax return is spent and then some. haha

Cant speak a whole lot for the 180 HP ride, Ive got the 225 with the six speed, chip, upgraded DV valve, short throw shifter and K&N Filter and a some minor do it yourself mods with the air routing, and I wouldnt even look twice at the stock cobalt. You may want to worry about the turbo charged one, but you should be able to stomp the standard one. The TT is SO much more car than that glorified Cavalier. I say go for it. Or if you chip it first, you can have the joy of watching him cry.
