Default VES

I've found quite a few exhaust cut-out pipes, butterfly valves, etc...

If I bought the vacuum solenoid from ATP for their VES, and used it in conjunction with this butteryfly and a y-pipe, it should work just like the ATP VES that has been out of stock forever right?

also, I have a Quattro 225... what diameter exhaust is stock on it? Im pretty sure it's 2.25" but I wanted to make sure before I go buying anything.

Yeah I believe that all you would have to do is hook up the vacuum actuator from ATP. And I also believe the stock exhaust is 2.25. I hope you do this cause it sounds awesome!

That place sucks!! There's got to be another place to get that actuator that works on boost other than electronics.

not that i have seen, and i have heard plenty of people say the the heat kills the electronic ones often.

What is the disadvantage of using it as-is?

I'd rather be able to control my noise if i'm driving throughticket territory.

Would it hurt low range performance if driven fully open?

Doesn't seem to seal all that well either, would it sound like an exhaust leak when closed?

the only disadvantage is that it needs to be turnedopen and closed. Also durabilty is questionable. You would get more lowend torque with the ves but faster spool with the electronic cutout. they both have pros and cons.

It's $79.99
Plus you can get the Full electric cut-out from other places for about $189.99-$300.

Looks like you could use the vacuum solenoid actuator to switch the electric one if you hooked it up right
