Voodoo MBC adjustment questions
I just installed a VoodooIV HP MBC on my '01 225Q (Giac93, Hyperboost DV). I've adjusted the coarse setting to 20psi max according to the Prosport gauge.
To set the bleed (fine adjustment), what am I looking for, or whatshould Ifeel to smooth out any spikes. I'm not sure what I should be trying to eliminate or enhance.
Also, I leftthe N75 plug connector attached. Should I plug/seal the N75 base inlet?
It looks like a nice piece of harware, if interested here's the website http://voodooboost.com/boost_control...doo_IV-HP_MBC/

RE: Voodoo MBC adjustment questions
should look like this (since it is mine's copy)
The course is a ball and spring, which reacts quicker and has a tendency to spike with varing wheater and load. The fine is a bleed valve which is smoother and doesnt spike like a ball and spring. With a stock turbo i would set it about 2-4psi lower with a ball and spring (coarse) and uses the bleed (fine) to up the rest of the boost.
My car is set to about 15psi with ball and spring and to 18-19psi with the bleed. Mine is super smooth and i doesnt spike.
