Thinking BF snake manifold, and maybe spring for a hta35r or gt35rst (both will probably cost me $1600 each if i go that route. Might start with a gt35r and send it in to FP and have it built if i feel the need later.) and my own ic setup. I wouldnt do the 2.2 block since you have to use a eurospec crank. Have heard them having problems with cranks and other parts. Going 2.0 with a AEG cast or 2.0T FSI forge crank will be better. If you still want more displacement, a tdi crank and block would net you 2.1L and be all factory parts aswell.

actually i was thinking of doing a ALH crank. but now we are going become a distributor of a rod manufacterers products and i guess i will be staying 1.8 to integrate there product. master plan is to now stay at the lower 9 to 1 cr and just run as much boost as possible and im thinking about some nitrous as well, put it on thumb control or progreesive timing and squirt it from 3000 to 5000 rpm to make up the lag time for drag runs.

That sounds like a good plan. A stock block and crank will be much safer and not to mention cheaper to build. You should be differnt and if you are or know a good tuner run 10:1 compression instead. With both compression and plenty of displacement, you wont have to worry about lag. A .63 housing on stock displacement hits 20psi at ~4700. The increase in c/r and displacement should be able to knock it down to ~4300rpms.
