Does anybody know how to take off the reflective cover? I want to try just the cone filter

man, that is just off the filter.

pull the rubber trim piece off the end thatis closest to the MAF. after that the entire outer housing will just slide off the end.

Yea, its great unless you want to be discreet. Running it without the cover screams "Race me, my car is really fast sounding!"

+1! ya my intake didn't get too much louder, but the dumping of the air to recirc. did. sounds like an effing BoV.
