I want to lower my car slightly to close the fender gap, but I don't want to get into the replacement rear a-arms and camber kits. I've read that you can get away with 3/4" and keep the stock rear suspension parts. Who's springs should I get?

I don't think your going to notice much of a lower stance.

Cincy... how come tirerack has tons of suspension parts for the 2003 TT coupe quattro, but only a handful for the 2001? I thought the 2001-2006 TTs were pretty much cross compattible with parts. -shrugs-
most other sites group the 2001-2006 together

I dont know how they broke them down, the 2001 quattro may be classified as a 180 instead of 225. Some parts may be interchangable from 180q to 225q and some may not. It doesnt really pertain to me so i havent really research it much.

cool thanks. Just curious. They usually do break it down by 180 or 225 on most sites and group the 2001-2006 years of each together. I wonder if that's the case.

Thanks Bud! They are exactly what I am looking for. I just want to close the wheel gap slightly and firm up the ride.

coilovers?

I'm looking for 1.5 lowering springs but all i can find close to that is 1.6, but i'd go with 1.75 than 1.6

well if you get coilovers it would be adjustable, but not as cheap... there are some springs out there that do a 1.1 all around, 1.3 front and 1.2 back, and then some 1.75, and others 2.0... It seeems if you only were looking to do a .75' drop then your best bet would be 1.3, 1.2 drop... it would be noticable but still free you of pot holes... PM me if you want some links cause im looking at lowering the car as well..
