washer fluid reservoir leak?
hey, just got my used 225TT, and notice the washer fluid low indicator light was on the computer popping up.
anyhow, i filled the reservoir with 1/2 gallon of washer fluid!!!! thought the problem went away, but when i went down the street to a gas station i notice the fluid was leaking everywhere.
i know i have a leak somewhere, but since the reservoir spout is on the right side of the car (facing the engine), i notices the leaking/dripping coming from the front left.
its annoying, since in order to get that washer fluid low indicator off, i need to fill it, only for it to leak all over the place.
any recommendations to start looking under the front of the car? thanks.

My Audi A4 had the same problem, it was the pump located on the bottom of the tank that had failed and was leaking ALL of the fluid out, I had to drive with the light on forever until the part came in. Easy fix but be sure its the problem (I could see fluid running out of mine). Also I recently had the enitre nose off of my TT and there is a whole maze of hoses under there for the headlight washers, with many clamps and joints. You may want to take off the nose of the car, then you could see into the front and gain access to all of the hoses. Taking off the nose isn't really as bad as you may think, if you want detailed instructions you can write me back.
What year is your TT? On mine the washer fluid resevor and fill port are on the Left hand side of the car, just foward of the A pillar under the hood. I had a similar leak when I first bought my TT. Turned out that the resevor had a crack in it. Easy fix, just removed the L/H front Wheel and pull down the plastic wheel well and presto chango, washer fluid resevor.
i have a 2001. im not sure, but i think it only leaked after i filled the resevior, and the car was running. when the car was off and stationary, it didnt leak. only when the car was driving/running after about 3-5 mins it started to pee washer fluid.
any insights before i rip apart my bumper?

leaking only when running "water pump", the windshield bottle isn't pressurized so would leak when filled regardless of engine running, head light washer only work when the head lights are on chances are there is a crack in the neck of the filler bottle
Avant is right, if you are only seeing it when the engine is running its......wait. You said that you filled it on the right hand side of your car....are you sure you are filling washer fluid and not coolant? Again this is with my TT, but my washer fluid is on the left, and my coolant with the expansion tank is on the right. You might want to verify this.
right side as in facing the engine its on the right. im sure its not the coolent resevior.
i remember i was at my house, i filled the washer fluid with half/gallon.. the priority 2 light for washer fluid went away.. came back out two minutes later pulled away to a gas station, didnt notice anything on my driveway.. but after going down the street (probably about 2-3min) to the gas station, right when i got out, all the fluid was on the ground..
if the case is that the washer fluid resevior and system is not pressurized, ill just fill the fluid on a level surface (since most driveways arent level), and watch for leaks.
thanks for the input guys, you make the newbie feel much welcomed.
