what new mod do you want to see next?
He didn't actually use a Sawzall...that would have cut too far. I'm too lazy to look up better pics, but I was impressed when I saw what he did on AW the first time.

Just look up pics under the acct name ChopTT on there and you'll see it.
Anyway, it wasn't quite a true targa...it wasn't the entire roof panel that was removable, just the inner part. It's pretty obvious why....if he'd cut the main pillar he would have killed all the safety and most of the rigidity of the car.
However, a true targa has been done (i.e. fully removable roof), however it was done (if I remember) by the same guys who designed the production TT. They basically took the front of a roadster and stuck the rear of a coupe on it to make it rigid+safe.

And with that haircut, that chick HAS to be a hairdresser.

On my first play car, 95 Monte Carlo Z34, I put a powered sunroof in one weekend. A lot of measuring, and when I made that first hole, I was like, well, no turning back! It turned out great, but it does take ***** to cut a hole in the roof!
This would be so freaking cool!
necromancers! bringing back dead threads!
Turns out, I keep having ideas for cool **** I could do, and then I have more practical ideas, like buying a house so I can actually own a place after shelling out THOUSANDS of dollars every year to live in some shithole someone else owns.
I pay $10,800 a year for the dump I'm in now. I might as well buy a dump with a garage. So, until I get something arranged to make my life a little more stable, I'm not doing a damn thing with the car other than maintenance.
Someday i'll get to the fun stuff, and when that happens, yeah, I'll sell kits.
