Default What should I do??

Hey everyone, I am new here. I do plan on doing some searching but i thought i would throw up a question before beginning.

I currently own a 99 Z28 that has 360 RWHP and 380 RWTQ. The car is very quick, yet i have never taken it to the track b/c i dont really race it. I just enjoy passing power (and lots of it). I just moved to dallas and dont have a garage anymore, so this makes it very difficult for me to mod (especially tweak and tune) my car like i use to be able to. I have also had this car for a long time and am just in the mood for something else.

I am debating between the audi TT (not sure if i want to go with the 225 or 250 horse model though) roadster or possibly a BMW 330Ci (or just maybe a BMW 330i with sport package). Another note: if you didnt get it from the above, I love to mod, so i would like a car that is "upgradeable." I will not be able to do the modifications for a while though b/c i will have to take the car to my parents house and borrow their space.

Any comments?

I appreciate your time

The 1.8t engine will offer lots of possibilities for mods (ie: turbo kit, chip, interocooler, etc). Have you test driven one yet?

if you love to mod then the TT 225 hp is your best bet the 1.8T motor is a very moddable motor as the BMW they are moddable but it will cost you a lot more for parts and in the end you are still driving a BMW as for the 250hp TT this is a 6 cylinder pretty new to the market with not much available out there for it yet it uses the DSG tranny which is nice very responsive

I can relate bro. I had a built civic that put down 351 on pump gas. I upgraded the turbo, ic, cams, and put a 3 inch exhaust on it right before I sold it. It was probably making more like 400 when I got rid of it. Point being, I was in the same boat as you. I had a car that would out run a 600 sport bike on the highway but moving to NJ and some personal reasons forced me to sell it.

I recently bought an audi tt 225. It doesn't even come close to the speed of my civic, but like these guys said there is potential. It wont be anywhere near as cheap as your z28, but it will be cheaper than a 330. I've already investigated putting an autronic on it and getting a t3/t4. 350 whp is more than possible without pulling the motor apart. You would need an upgraded turbo, fuel, and a stand alone to effectively control it, but again, all those mods can be done in your driveway.

A long winded answer, but go with the tt. It is much more mod friendly than a 330.
