Sheesh! Well, I felt like I was getting a deal because I got mine for $1,000 below book but I guess I got ripped! 2001 180fwd, 95,000 with new water pump & timing belt ... $9500.

Well I bought it off this kid who was the 3rd owner. He was driving and i just stopped. He took it to 3 Audi dealers and they told him his timing belt broke and he needed a new motor. So he sold it to me thinking that. I took it home, put a Timing belt, water pump with metal impeller, idlers, and drive belt on it. Fired right up, drives like brand new!

Yeah, thats about what I paid as well. A year and a half ago 39,000 miles for $16K. The financing is where I got shafted. The age of the car and that it was used even though my credit is good. This rapid depreciation all of a sudden must be cause of the release of the MKII. Everyone want these cars till it came out. Now I probably couldn't get the buyout on my loan for my car and fixed almost everything on it. I really should focus on paying down the loan instead of mods (but whats the fun in that).
