Default Wheel sizes

I just ran across this website that claims to sell shitloads of 20" wheels for the TT. Will a 20 even work well on a TT? I wonder what the weight of a 28lb wheel would do to performance..

I have seen 20's on a TT, looked like a rollerskate. They were also chrome[:'(], performance would definitely be negatively impacted by that extra unsprung weight

20's are just to big. Not to mention kill performance. 17-18"s are about the max for performance and maybe 19's if you want baller status

Fair enough...but 20sjust might look badass! How much would 19s really affect performance? I mean, .2 sec in the 1/4 is a fair tradeoff for 19s, imho.

Its going to be more than that for a set of 19's, and if they weigh the 28lbs (21lbs for fat fives), your looking close to 1sec increase. The stocks 17" 6 spokes are already that much. Add in a heavier tire with more weight further from the center and your adding a great deal of rotating mass.

alright, then..here's another angle..instead of adding weight to the fat fives, how about taking it away..a lot of it..15" racing rims-10lbs apiece..take 45 lbs off the wheels alone, and then what would happen. I'm guessing a pretty damn big difference, but would 15" rims just look ridiculous enough to where it wouldn't be worth the gain?

LOL...I didwhen I found out how stupid the effect on performance is...now I think the perfect match for perfomance are lightweight 17x8..15lbs and the ability to put a little wider tire on. I've seen lw 19's @20lbsfromOZ, Enkei, and SSR,but I love the idea of 15lb wheels!
