I've been searching like crazy and cannot find the valence/insert for the front license plate (painted or unpainted) ANYWHERE! I just bought a 2002 TT 225Q and it currently has a euro license plate on the front. My state requires front license plates so I need to buy the valence so I can do the magnetic license plate mod. Can someone tell me where I can purchase one of these (preferably painted with Lake Silver Metallic)?

Thanks for the info. I guess it just comes unpainted? Any idea if I were to take it to a body shop if they would be able to match up the paint pretty close and how much it would cost?

 

They should have no problem matching it and a part like that shouldn't cost any more than $100, probably less depending on labor rates.As long as they don't have to order too much paint it should be reasonable.
