where can i get an axle assembly?

i tried searching but most of the time its front driver side. i needed the passenger side. i have a tt 225 quatro amu and i dont think a 5 spd axle would fit the 6 spd axle. thanks!

I need one also (front, driver side 180q) and I didn't find the assembly for sale on germanautoparts.com, just boot kits and hubs.

Post up when you find one that doesn't cost the $459 my stealership wants. Thanks-

Hotgrass, thanks for the links!

The super-cheap ones scare me a little, I've read horror stories about people having to order 3 times before one was shipped assembled correctly, or installing one only to have it fail immediately b/c of missing bearings or flawed pre-assembly.

This isn't a part I'm willing to skimp on, I'm lookin for OEM quality, the GKN Drivetech brand looks like it might be close @ $317-

Anybody have experience with this particular brand?

Also, any write-up so I can decide if this is something I want to attempt myself? Thanks-

call German Auto Parts,,, trust me, they have more stuff there then on there website. Most oem parts are at cost.

5 and 6 speed axles are identical.

Search/ask on Vortex, I know MAGICHAT had a set of axles and volkscorrados probably has a set laying around.

I think it was AchTTung that was having problems with his rear axel. If I recall correctly he got it through NAPA.
