I think I started a good thread. I appreciate everyone getting back in the game. And the only thing worse than an excuse is an excuse. Think about it.

Who said I'm going anywhere in a few months/years? As long as theres a supply of Mk I TT's, I'll be driving one.

Considering we still have a brand new 2006 in the showroom, I'm thinkin you'll be here awhile.

I'll reserve judgement until I drive one but the inability to get Turbo and AWD in one package is a bad place to start.

totally blew my mind when i opened up my EC mag a few months back, read about the new TT, looked at some pics of the interior, and then turned the page to a VW ad talking about the new looks in the (I think) Passat. Its the same friggen pedals and steering wheel. What kind of cheap move is that? They can't even wait a model year before implimenting the same pasts into a lesser car? So much for the prestige of Audi's 2 door sports car.

Considering Audis new presitious 2 door sports car is the R8, and the TT has always been considered one of Audi's 'entry level' vehicles I cant say thats surprising. The Passat is a few steps up the ladder for VW, so I think it makes sense.

The FSI 3.2L with DSG is a great powertrain, but I'm partial to the tuneability of thew Turbos. The S and RS TT might be a different story though. The 420hp FSI 4.2 would be NASTY in the TT chassis.
