WHY did i get a TT?
Maybe it's the FWD.
One thing is for sure, my A4 is a much better car. No offense to anyone here.
At high speeds its all over the place, and theres way too much torque steer, and still my A4 will keep up with it.
I dunno, im thinking about selling it. And i have it for 2 weeks.
Anyone else agree, or disagree completely?
I might just go and buy another A4, this time in the S-Line. I wanted a sportier car, thats why i bought the TT.

if you have both, maybe sell the tt (blasphmey!) take your profits (if any) chip it, new valve for it, new intake, make your a4 sportier if yo ulike it so much more. I had an 03 a4 avant 1.8T, and i loved it, loved it, loved it. i got the tt because i really like its fit and finish and the extra hp, and it got me the drivetrain and esp etc but saved me a couple hundred bucks a month (01 tt 225). it is faster, but on the whole, the a4 was the better car. i dont need a wagon cause the lady has one, so i got the fun coupe :P it coems down to i guess partly economics, if the car isnt worth it to you, move it along, toherwise enjoy it, even with its quirks, theres bound to me some annoyances moving fromin my poinion the best sedan in calss to a little euro sorts car, though they are both great[8D]
My girl has a 2005 A4 Quattro 1.8T and I have a 2001 180 TT FWD Roadster and I definitely think my car is superior.
The TT is much more fun to drive hands down. Feeling unsafe at highspeeds? NO WAY!
My only complaints come from the repair bills but that is quickly forgotten after 5mins behind the wheel. Hell just looking at it sitting in the garage gives me goosebumps.

But how to improve the TT... Add the chip, a rear anti-sway bar, and get the alignment checked out. It's not going to do much for the torque steer but it will improve the overall power and handling.
The A4 is ugly. Looks like ahonda from the assend.
You should have gotten the quattro awd if you wanted to handle the same or better.
I would push a TT before driving a 4 door family car. but i'm a puke like that. haha
If I wanted a 4 door car i would buy an Evo.
ok my defend the TT rant is finished.

I say if you want a better handling car with more HP, them wait for the TT-S to come out and trade in for that car.0-60 in 5.4 is pretty good and it it is AWD. Thats whats on my shopping listfor next year. The TT's are much better looking than the A4's too.
Honestly, I never could understand the fascination with the A lines - they have some styling and the same quality as an Audi - but they don't stand out... If the A4 was a 2 door then I could relate more - but it's a 4 door...
Besides, jgorman's comparing a FWD to the AWD Quattro - that's like comparing a prop plane to one jet powered... I know little about the A4's and honestly have no interest in them personally - nothing wrong with them - just not my taste.
The TT is a fun sports car - hands down - I'm I'm looking to get the new '08 S or RS when and if they hit the market! [8D]

Me too for the TT-S maybe the RS if its not toooo expensive. I saw a site that said $45000 for the TT-S so Im sure the RS will start at $50000. But the TT-S is AWD and 280 HP with about a couple hundred less pounds than the current TT's. Good increase in 0-60 times. Cant wait.
yea thanks everyone for their inputs.
the only reason i didnt get a quattro TT is that i didnt have enough for the 3.2.
And driving the manual 225 in NYC is way too much hassle.
I think i might sell it and save for a 3.2. The DSG might make it worth it.
anyway, ill figure it out.
