I'm finally getting my windows tinted and I just wanted to see what shade/percentage of tint other people are putting on their TT's. Right now, I plan on going with 15% but I'm wondering if this is going to be too dark. What about 20%? I'm not concerned about being legal since the tint law isn't enforced in Oklahoma (by the way, 25% is legal). I just don't want to go through the trouble of getting the windows tinted and not being able to see out of them, especially at night. Does anybody have pictures of a TT with 15% and/or 20%?

 

I haven't tinted yet, but I plan on going with a 10% or less in the rear window, and probably a 15% on the sides. 15% is legal for NY, and even though I'm not living there now, my car is still registered there, and my family is there, so I just dont want to have to deal with the cops more than I have to. Although, theres no limit to how dark you have your rear window in NY, I've already skipped out on my last 2 tickets, I don't need a reason for them F with me. I'm suprised they haven't caught up to me yet.

I don't use the rear window too much for backing up anyway, either side mirrors, or I open the door and lean my head out.

Oops, try again. Wonder where I got 15% from. Need to have 70% light transmission thru tinted window for side windows in NY. bastards!

 

I have 15% sometimes I wish that it was a little bit darker but to keep the cops off my back I went with 15%.

So 15% sounds good? Also, should I mess with the visor strip on the windshield? It looks like it would only be about an inch wide so it probably wouldn't do much.

 

I have 35% all around. It's nice and dark but not so dark that I cannot see at night.
