A note on the ebay Zimmerman rotors: Mine came with a note that said "sorry the zimmerman box was damaged and thus removed, see the made in germany stamped on the side".

I'm still wondering if they really are true zimmerman rotors.

I have the Zimmerman x-drilled rotors not sure on the pads but my setup has worked well in snow and in high heat I do however get the same thing where on highway use in cold weather where they dont work as well for about a second while they heat up

winter related, but different topic, anyone done hot oil undercoating with their tt? my car is nasty style underneath from the PO driving it year round for like 6-7...years. Just wondering about general cost, etc. Getting it done was on reccomendation of a shop I trust, and the car is pretty rusty/dry/porus underneath, somewehre in the grundle area

EF it...I think I'm going to bite the bullet and try the Schwaben drilled and slotted rotors since no one seems to have any replies as to whether or not they used them... as for pads...damnit...I have no experience with the Hawk pads, and loved the EBC Greens, but I feel the Greens wouldn't be enough brake for this car, it was plenty for my shitbox eclipse.

Got a quote on those ferodo pads I was looking for. www.raceshopper.com, price too low to list on their site, emailed for quote. Both front and rear quoted for about $20 more than Hawk pads go for on ECS.
From what i understand, they're way better pads. Popular among racing groups. The Subaru factory team is right up the road (Pastrana's cars, etc) they use Ferodo. I have a friend in Turkey who rally races, and his parents raced. They swear by them as well.

I'll be the guinea pig on here I suppose, but in case you, or anyone else was interested in another option, there it is.

BTW, the Schwaben stuff is pretty much OEM, so you'll do alright.
