Welll i really really wanted Black....BUt @ 14,9k for 225 hp awd w 60k miles From dealer ?.....750.00 to paint it black would you do it?

 

$750??? are you serious? I've never seen a respray on a TT for less than $2000. Personally, I like Silver...its the fastest color.

 

$750 is a steal! I inquired about re-spraying my TT and the lowest anyone would go was 5k!
Regardless that's a great deal on a 225, even if you do paint it the slower color!

 

lol slower color... well whatt can i say i just love black... but NO that wasnt a respray price from factory... thats my own friend here that owns an auto body shop. But for 14,9 i havnt found another 225 hp with 65k miles Thats a steal isnt it? No matter what color?

No way. Silver is the only colour for a TT, IMHO.

There is no substitute for original factory paint either.

 

Want a black exterior with silver under the hood, silver in the spare tire well, silver underneath... you get the idea. Want the paint to look like crap (orange peel, overspray, etc.), eventual peeling & fading? Then get a $750 paint job; shoot, get a $1500 paint job. Changing colors is the worst thing you can do to a car; if you're stuck on black, buy a black car. Do you have any idea what goes into painting a car? Watch Overhaulin' sometime. If you paint it you'll shell out whatever you pay and cut $5K easy off the car's value.

 

If you read the fine print the price is $14,977 after a $950 trade in or cash deposit. The car looks clean in the pictures but I say hold out for the one you want, I bought my '01 180qt for $6,500 from a friend who I know took awesome care of it. JMHO and good luck on the car search-
