Default wrong size tire iron

Ok, so I got new tires a few weeks ago and wanted to check the lugs to make sure they were still tight enough and when I looked in the back to get the tire iron out it turned out to be the wrong size - too small. I have a 225QC with the stock fat fives and this was the stock iron that came with the car (as far as I know). The lugs seem to be stock as well. I haven't changed them out to any fancy locking lugs where you need a key or anything. Has this problem happened to anyone? Does anyone know what size tire iron I need? Thanks

It's the right size, you have to remove the plastic caps that are on the lugs. Stick a small screwdriver down there and pop them off. And skip the tire iron, go get yourself a torque wrench and a 17mm deep well socket and torque them all to 90 ft-lbs.

^^^what he said. There is a plastic cap remover where the tire iron is too. Looks like a thick paper clip.

Thanks a lot! Those caps are pretty stupid. Is there any reason for them? It looks like they're cosmetic, in which case they should've just made some better looking lugs.

If you lift up the rear compartment in your trunk. There is a black thing that looks like tweezers. That is the tool used to remove those lug caps. JUst stick it in and pull out and the cap should come out along with it.
