Default WTF?

So I call the dealership that my TT has been serviced at today, to find out if in fact the timing belt has been replaced or not. Apparently it has. 3000 miles ago the timing belt, water pump and thermostat were replaced. Unfortunately he declined to replace the timing belt tensioner and now I still have to spend all the labor costs to replace a part that costs 20-30 bucks. Sometimes people just really confuse the hell out of me.

oh nice. i love the logic of the dealerships sometimes, it totally amazes me.

Gonna try to do it yourself, or let a shop handle it?

I'm taking it to a shop around the corner. It's a Euro shop and supposedly it's been around awhile. He was gonna charge me 700 to do all the work before so I'm expecting around 300 or so now.
