Default Xenon headlights 2000 TT

Hey guys,

just a quick one, i have a 2000 180bhp quattro with the Xenon headlight upgrade, the headlights are awesome as well as sidelights.. however, it appears the full beam (which brings up the blue indicator on the dash) are normal... is this standard practice? just noticed last night when driving into my garage?

Oh just as a side note, had it APR'd yesterday and love it! totally stock other than aftermarket DV... downpipe, exhaust, wheels are next on the list! woohoo

Sounds like everything is normal. The brights are not Xenon bulbs, so there isn't an ignitor for them.

When do you plan on getting a boost/vac gauge?

There's a pic of the Autometer gauge I got from Autozone in my photo album.
The gauge was between $30 - $40 and came with everything except 18 gauge wire to run the light. Which can also be found at Autozone.

Ou didn't know the forum gave links for posting images from albums... Pretty nifty!

That looks really nice, how smooth and accurate is it and what did you use to mount it in the vent? the modshack ring?

i like the idea of a white dial.... whats the best gauge to use?

autometers are great gauges. They are very accurate and will last a long time all while giving a smooth movement. You can either use a vent ring or just use the c-bracket that comes with the gauge... $20 vs paid for
