You'll drive the wheels off that thing!

Is that something that you've thought about with your car? Is it hard to keep out of it, thinking about it... or is it just a car to you?
How many of you baby your...baby? Does it get better treatment then your girlfriend/boyfriend?

Are your children jealous?

Please discuss.

My children aren't jealous but my wife has been known to be jealous of my Car's and Bikes in the past. I'm down to just this TT and an Audi 100 now but I've had alot in the past. The 100 is getting sold and the TT will be getting all my love soon

As for how I treat them, I drive them hard, Autobahn driving full blast, and take her to the tracks, there are lots of plans for this summer. However, I change fluids early, listen to what the car tells me through the steering input and Vag-Com and am always on top of maintanence, and dare i say she is never dirty, that's hard over here as German weather generally sucks.

So, how do you drive yours?

I dont baby my car, as I feel that a babied car becomes a high maintenance car. I don't neglect my car either. I'm very cognizant of it's quirks and subtle hints. Im on top of scheduled maintenance and I do only use mobile 1 oil and 93 Oct fuel. But all in all, I drive my car hard and treat it like a son. A babied son would grow up to be queer. Tough love gets you far. Some cars like being driven to their potential.

Ha! My shifter snapped off too. At one of the welds near the base. I wonder if that's common?

i drive mine carefully but am not affraid to throw her into turns; when the time / place is right.
there are some nice drives here in Washington State, there are tons of State Patrol though.

i don't have a girlfriend/wife, no children and live on my own. i do find myself with more time then
i prob. should have, with my car.

i should get rid of my place and just live in my car.

If you didn't the first go around this comment may have. I find it hilarious.

Same place that mine snapped. Dealer gave me 10% off. Still cost me $900. Scumbags.

lol... a friend of mine is gay and I give him crap all the time. I don't really have any contempt for anyone, it's not my place to judge. It is fun giving him s**t though. It was just rhetoric and satire, nothing more.

I just had a local welding shop repair the weld. Cost me $50 *shrugs*
Was on the highway in 3rd gear when it snapped though. Luckily there weren't any incline starts where I was headed.

Some of you may think im bad for beating the hell out of mine. I drive it on the edge of its abilities just about everytime i get into the car. I have no worries about it, because most of the car will be changed/upgraded soon enough. This goes from suspension, interior, and even internals (scats and new rings). But as much as i love the car and want to work on it, some people just have to come first, and they know who they are.

I have a reputation for being a speed demon apparently. I don't understand it though, I'm an acceleration demon. I'll take the car to 60 mph as fast as I can, rarely faster. I have bad enough luck as it is with cars, I should probably be riding a bicycle.

On another note, not worthy of a thread of its own, I ran out of gas today, fortunately, about 100' down the road from the gas station I was heading to. I put 17 gallons of gas in the car.
180hp 225hp
Fuel Tank: 14.5 U.S. gallons (55 liter) 16.3 U.S. gallons (62 liter)

Thats right, 17.
