Default $419 for genuine Belly Pan :(

Got a quote from Audi for $419 for a genuine Belly Pan. I would like to fit one to my car as mine is missing but I don't think I'm willing to pay $419 as it is only a piece of moulded cardboard or something similar.

while nice, you don't need it. It is nice to have, not necessary on this aged car. at this age, stuff has already dry rotted, wet rotted, or salt froozen. it is a sound/audio panel.

It also improve highway fuel economy a tiny amount and helps hugely in keeping the engine bay clean and dry. I drove down a muddy dirt road without a belly pan once, I had mud splattered on top of my coolant tank and IM. With the belly pan it stays clean.
