$8k in repairs....need advice!
Sell it and buy mine. haha
Enough shameless plugs
No but really, If you were to do all of that. Which ive done to my car. Well most of that, (cv boots, axles, control arms, brakes, turbo and such) was pretty easy and I did it myself.
The turbo took about 5 hours, the axle and control arm took like an hour per control arm, 30 min for the axle while the control arm was out, and such. The steering is going to be the big issue. But for a used car, unless you get something that has been meticulously maintained, its going to be expensive, especially for a german car. So you can either spend all that money to have them do it, do it yourself for the cost of parts you source, or go buy a nicer one. The last two will be about the same price. A hella of a lot cheaper than just throwing 7k at the car. Hell, do that to a 240 and you'd be having a 11 sec car.
