=S4 Springs on B5 1.8TQ? and got my car chipped today=
I bought a set of used S4 lowering springs on craig's list. The manufacturer is Tien (or something like that I believe). Then I took those springs and my new konis sports shock absorbers to a mechanic and he said that my car is going to be tilted (the front of the car is going to be higher than the back) because of the weight difference between an S4 and an A4 1.8TQ:S4 engine is 6 cyl and mine is 4 cyl. The mechanic said my the front side of my car is going to be at least 1/2" higher and the guy who sold the springs to me said it's going to be less than 1/2" higher.
How would it really look like? Would it look bad? I do not want to install it just to find out that it looks hideous and pay extra labor fee to take them out. Has anyone installed S4 lowering springs on a A4 1.8 TQ (B5)?
Oh and I got my car chipped from that guy(GIAC. 91 octane rating) and I don't really feel the difference than before. Is it normal??
Thank you.

Mate you made a big mistake buying them as your mechanic was correct as it is the springs that set the height of the car and the weight of the front of the car will affect where the springs sit. In this case you have a V6 engine that is way heavier than your 1.8T so will not push the springs down rather just balance on the top of them and make the car handle like crap with the shock hardly working at all.
i remember just recently seeing in someone's sig that they had s4 springs in their 1.8t. can't remember who it was tho. but im gona have to agree with your mechanic and docurley here. springs aren't that expensive anyways, just get some designed for the 1.8t

they will not work on the 1.8, 2.8 maybe.
Just sell those, and get some springs made for your car. Since you already have the shocks the springs will cost you $250 max. Do it right the first time you don't want to have to do it again.

I felt a huge difference after i had the GIAC 91 oct. program installed. I wonder if you have some kind of boost leak somewhere. did you get a new dv?
