Question 00 1.8t A4Q suspension noise?

I recently purchased a set of Blauparts struts and a used set of oem sport springs to replace my busted oem sport springs on my Audi. After the install I took the car for a ride and I get this reall loud thunk noise, like the struts are bottoming out. The noise was not even present witht he broken springs...
It seems more apparent when i make a turn, but it sounds like both rears are the culprit. I have taken apart and reassembled 2-3 times looking for "my" mistake. I called blauparts, they said they made a mistake and shipped the wrong parts...
After receiving the new struts for the rear today; I opened them and they are the same struts previously shipped. I am so frustrated! I am not a noob to mechanical repairs, this should be a pretty straightforward swap, but now I am having these complications.
Any insight or suggestions would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe they sent you some busted struts the first time. Did you try the new ones they sent you?

I did not. The first set were in working order. I tested them for rebound before putting them on the car.

For anyone that might be having a similar issue, the resolve was as joenelson mentioned...after removing and replacing at least 5-6 times I called and spoke to blaufergnugen and they sent me the wrong rear shocks. Not sure of how they catalog parts but, the replacements were the same part number as the original parts sent. They said the internals were different. I dunno, but the car is back on the road and driving a lot better. Now I just need to stiffen the rear end up a some.

I will say the folks at Blauparts went the extra mile to overnight me replacement parts and also threw in some ocap tie rod ends for free for the mistake. They seem to really care about customer satisfaction!
