Well unfortunatley i dont have any personal experience with it, but from a modification standpoint, im sure it can only help and especially with only doing the small mods like weve done. anything more than a tune, its not gunna be effective as a FMIC. but from what i know, i would definatley say its good for the guys who arent gunna be doing much more than a tune, and other small bolt ons.

Thanks for your input! i think I'm gonna give it a try. BTW, i couldn't help but notice in your Sig that you have an APR tune with a k03s. Does that work well? im thinking about doing the same thing because my stock k03 is pretty much gone

Thats the exact reason i put in the K03s.. my K03 was shot as well, and i actually had bought another used K03 off of a member here, and it was in alright shape, bought it for like 50 bucks, brought it to my mechanic and he looked it over and was like man its better than what you got now but soon youll be back where you are.. turns out he had a mint K03s he had laying around that he was gunna eventually use for his passat if he needed to, so he sold me that one on the cheap and we threw it in.. since my turbo was in the same shape from the day i bought the car, having a newer great running turbo just made me smile.. it was great.. but it works just fine with the APR tune, i boost around 15-17 depending on gear and what not and it holds and drops down steadily to about 10 once you get up top in the RPMs.. if you can find one on the cheap id def suggest it.. i dont honestly think it forwards to better HP or performance but it is a little bigger on the cold side i believe than a K03..

yea my advice would be if you can get ahold of a k03s in good shape for cheap do it.. if you plan on in the future going k04 with supporting mods then obviously go k04 you just wont see any benefits running a k03 tune.. but the k03s holds and pushes boost well, i just dont have anything to compare it to since my k03 was garbage from the get go.. haha
