Default 1.8 to a 1.8t

hi guys bit new to this just got a b5 1.8 se bit lame jus wondering if any of u guys no how easy it would be to convert it to a 1.8t can the turbo pristons ect just be swapped or is there a lot more to it ????

ummmm it is a 1.8T haha I dont think thay ever made just a 1.8......did they?

He isnt from the US. There was a AU guy asking not to long about the same thing. There is a NA version that made like 120hp. The only differnce is the cams i believe. Should be basically a bolt on but the oil pan. I dont know since i never seen one personally, just know they existed.

they even have 1.6 on B5, B6, and B7

B6 1.6 Engine bay;

yeah they put the 1.8L N/A in the jettas here in the u.s. right?

the older jettas, like my 1989 jetta has a 1.8....the newer jettas have a n/a 2.0
