1.8T fine when cold, crap when car warm
Hey all
I've yet another problem with my B5. Is a 1.8T quattro 5sp manual.
In the morning (in cold conditions, 13 degrees or so) the car drives fine, can drive for about 15 minutes before problems start. When the problems start they occur in the forms of the following:
* rough idle at stop, in gear and out of gear, almost stalls sometimes
* Car juddering slightly, at all rpms and doesnt matter how much pedal im giving it. It feels as if ive taken my foot off the accelerator for a split second (even though I havent). If i put my foot down the boost comes in, but the juddering still occurs, though it is more noticeable.
Once the car has been warmed up both by being run and by the sun these problems will occur. Even if I dont drive it for 5 hours or so, they still occur because the sun has heated the car slightly.
Any suggestions?
Ive scanned it- No codes

My suggestion would be check around for vacuum leaks. I had a similar issue, turns out I had a major leak, one of my hoses came off, lol. Let it warm up and as it idles, look under the hood, sometimes you can hear them.
Hey all, thanks for your replies
The problem has since simply gone away.
When I took my car to the mechanics today I was unable to recreate the problem. The mechanic said it could have been a bad batch of fuel, and to come back if it happens again.
