Default 17x9 on B5????

I have an opportunity to buy a set of 17x9 +40mm wheels off of a Benz and was wondering if anyone has had experience running this size of a wheel on thier B5 A4? My car does NOT have sport suspension, nor is it lowered. Tires will be 235/45-17

Thanks!

They should fit fine. You are going to have a MASSIVE wheel gap since your not sport suspension.

well, you may need spacers with that 40et
you will need to redrill the wheels to 14mm instead of the benz's 12
and its just gonna look goofy as hell on stock suspension

Not trying to threadjack, but why would he need to redrill?? Don't Audi and MB share the same bolt pattern??

I'm running 18x9 TSW's with225/40/18 and neuspeed sport springs. They rub a little only on the hard dips in the road.Your car should be fine running stock height just check the clearance on the back of the tires.*Also Chevy and VW both have a 5x100bolt pattern.I drilled the hole to fit the vw on the the set of wheels I'm running know they had a bevauldegde which made it very easy to drill rims the drill I used had a level on the back of it whichkept the drill straight with the rims flat on the ground(RIMS LINED UP PERFECT).I bought aToshiba drill bit at Loews I think if was5/8 or 3/4 "Not sure off hand" but pm me if you want me to check the size.
