1996 A4 Auto - mileage display flashing

I noticed the mileage display flashing on my 1996 2.8 auto.
Flashes for a while, than normal.
I think the flashing reads "L1" or so.

What does it mean?

I'm new to Audi , but I believe L1 is a level 1 out of 2 warning no other lights lit up? if its In1 its a oil scv reminder
