1999.5 Audi A4 Rear Passenger Door Problem
Hello,
I am having a problem with my rear passenger door closing and because of this all of the lights stay on in the car and the car is unable to be locked. It is something with the seal. But I was just wondering if anyone knows how much this will cost or where I can find the part online. THANKS for your help.

You could disable the door contact switch? Then everything would lock and the alarm would set. That is if you don't want to spend out on what ever is wrong.
well you could either put some tape over the push button swich in the doors frame, so it's held in all the time. Or pop the switch out of the frame, and then cut both wires and join them together so they are contacted all the time. This could be a temporary measure so everthing locks up etc.
Then if you get the new part you can wire the wires back to that switch and it would be orking fine again.
I'll have a look and see if I can find the part number for the seal for you.

"door seal, inner" fits to the frame. Part no: 8D5 833 721 J.
"door seal, outer" fits to the door edge. Part No: 8D0 833 705 A.
Thats for the left rear.
Or
For the right rear.
Inner - 8D5 833 722 J
Outer - 8D0 833 706 A
These are for the Sedan rather than the Avant. On a 99.5.
