Default 2.8, 5v high pressure steering line replacement

The high pressure steering line that runs along top of the passenger cylinder bank has let go... I am having a hard time deciding how difficult this is going to be to replace.

Are there any non-obvious parts that will I need to consider or replace along the way? The Bentley service manual is, as usual, vague and circuitous.

If you guys help me out I will take some pics and write a DIY.

peace, m

I've never had to change any PS lines on my 2.8 A4, but I did on our 1.8T Passat. Is this the line from pump to coupling over the engine, or the longer run to the rack? If the rack hose, I can tell you the trick to attaching the hollow bolt, crush washers, and banjo fitting under the rack is to hold them together with a wrapped-on rubber band, which you pull and break after a few threads are started.
