Default 2.8 engine mods

Just a little curious, anyone with a 30v have any engine mods? If they even exist. I'm finally getting mine this week and want to start working on it after i seafoam the shlt out of it. Just looking to get a little more HP out of it.

Your best bet, if you don't want to supercharge it, is to do an engine swap .

You bought a 2.8. That's your loss!

RAAAWRRR!!!! i guess i should have added 'besides an engine swap' too lololol

i use to drive a 2.8 and was very happy with its bulletproofish way of moving the car.

It's almost hard to believe that there are pretty much no 30v mods out there.

Don't feel bad, I can't even get a supercharger. I drive a 12v 2.8. Just make her pretty .

Oh and mine's an auto... Like salt on a wound.

I think its worse when you have a 1.8 with an auto. Big mods are just laughing in your face.

Yeah that's a good point.

However because my car is an automatic I've been putting off exhaust mods. I would at least like a magnaflow muffler or something like that but it just seems so ricey to me every time I think about it.

I have the 12v 2.8 and I'm not hating it. Coming from a 325i it's a bit less on the sporty side but the interior styling is great, not to mention with the quattro system this thing hugs the road like a cat on carpet. May not be super fast but I like it.

Why don't you want to supercharge it? It'd be sick!

100% true. My brother and I wonder if we should have just gone with 2.8s and slammed them on bags and just been our cruisers. Instead I have nightmares about BTs.

Funny that in your other thread about buying the car you said you were buying the 2.8 cuz you weren't gonna mod. Got the itch quick huh?
