what have you fixed so far. i mean if the oil pan is busted, of course you're gonna get low oil pressure. and you really won't find any performance mods for rebuilding the engine. i'd swap the engine like people have been saying. do more research though, you sound like you really don't know much

installed a new oil pan w/ oil and filter and had a knock so I shut it off dbl checked oil and still knock with oil light so I pulled the oil pan and screen and found bearing material clogging the screen and have decided not to go any further other than checking leakdown and had 6% so now I have started taking the motor outand will be ordering one soon I found one for 850from lkq so we will see

so what is the reason there are no mods and why can you super charge the 30v motor but not the 12v motor

how do you expect to get more then a few HP here and there from a relatively small displacement naturally aspirated engine (on a chassis that heavy as a boat) ? you can do the exhaust and get maybe 15-25hp. and little mods here and there can get you an additional 20 all together. but compare that to a 1.8t- you can spend $250 on a chip and gain 50hp / 50tq right out of the box.

the 30v i would assume it has more airflow thru the extra valves, its a newer design and handles boost better then a 12v would so the supercharger is only offered for that engine. you may be able to custom fab something for a 12v but good luck if you try. basicly people dont spend the R&D money on a 2.8 because the market for 1.8t parts is many many times larger and you can get much cheaper power more easily out of that engine.

I say buy a BIG turbo have a company make you forged rods and lower compression pistons, get custom manifolds for a single turbo, get the heads ported, and a stand alone engine management system. Ok so thats probably out of the question.

^ That would be great if it didn't cost thousands of dollars. I'm gonna wait 'till I win the lottery to do all that to my 30v. If it works out I'll start a business that sells and installs the mods........

Yeah, fat chance that'll happen.

If you can, find the 2.8 power thread I started. That will give you an idea on how big the 2.8 aftermarket is and how much of a long shot it is to turbo the motor.

dont rebuild just buy a motor from a junk yard.

as for nitrous.....unless you plan on going to the track it is just not worh it. i have a full wet shot system on my truck (350 block 125 shot) have never used it.

spraying the intercooler has very little effect, you would be much better off just getting a water/meth injection system.

you would be able to run water/meth permanently instead of activating the CO2 sprayer only when you go to race, it activates automatically according to boost, you dont have to switch it on and off, you can refill it with windshield washer fluid available everywhere, no high pressure tanks to store in the car or get refilled, it cleans the inside of your engine while lowering IATs and increasing octane.
