Default 2.8 turbos on a 2.8 A4

I was wondering if the turbos off an A6 can be swapped into the A4 2.8? It seems way too simple and since I've never seen anything in regards it doesn't look like it can be done.

im sure it could be done... just depends on how much money you have haha
its not impossible to turbo a 2.8 but most people consider it more trouble than its worth

are you thinking of trying it?

2.8's don't have turbos, the A6 comes with a 2.7T as option. Might as well buy an S4...

BTW, I think there's a billion more threads already like this...

^ agree. While i like this forum, every day that i visit, it seems like i see the same posts over and over and over again. I guess that can be said for most forums, but i've actually been turned off by all the repetitive posts on here.

It is capable. And yes there is a 2.8 TT. It was a swap in a Passat. But he was making about 270hp and 250tq. That's the problem, a chipped 2.7 makes more than that. Plus he may suffer from heating problems from the manifold being so damn close. But he had the money and the time to monkey around and not to forget, experience under the hood. Something most on this forum don't have to partake in such a big makeover. Its in the VWvortex. If I have time I'll dig up the link but its 2 years old.

false. it is capable its just difficult to make everything work together. there was a guy here awhile ago with a twin turbo 2.8 but if i remember right he was having trouble with his ecu or something and it was spewing black smoke.

ducatheart i think you should try it and let us know if it works out
