Default 2 piece Depo headlights

Ok so I’m at the junk yard this weekend when they bring out an A4, can’t believe my luck. Here is what I picked up; set of DEPO 2 piece projector Headlights with clear corners and a set of smoked side markers.
So my question is about the wiring setup for 2 piece headlights, I have used the search function only to find post for one piece conversions.

congrats on the pick up man! Those are fairly rare. The wiring will be very much the same, you just get to avoid the fender trimming

I know how rare of find they are......I hit pick a part every Saturday. The car was literally just put in the yard and I couldn’t get them off fast enough, paid $80 all I need now is the HID set up. I have seen your DIY (great one) my lights do not have a different style plug since the corner is separate, should I just follow your steps anyways?

Well, if the plugs are the same, I would alter the DIY slightly. The wiring job in the DIY was admittedly messy. A cleaner way to do it would be to plug the stock harness into your new 2-piece housings and then wire the HID's in from the inside of the housings. This will make for a much cleaner (and more waterproof) install

I fond a voltometer to be pretty handy, just trial and error and you will find high beams, low beams, ground etc.

If you have two-piece lights on your car, those are plug and play - zero modding needed.

Thanks for the help.
Yeah I have the pre-facelift, wanted one piece but couldn't pass them up. I am going to switch out my stock headlight connectors on the depos, both depos have burned ground pins. I am going with a 35W 6K setup, should I use H7 or D2S lamps? The housing is marked D2S.

Use D2S bulbs then. Some OEM one piece and aftermarket 2-piece housings use D2S.
