2000 2.8 misfire issue - codes P1340 and P1347
Just recently had a used 2.8 engine installed and we have a couple codes that indicate that there is a misfire. Its a random misfire, so sometimes it runs good, but sometimes not. I've read some threads that indicates that there is a problem with timing chain adjusters in this car.
If anyone has some insight on this I would appreciate some help and can the adjusters be replaced with the engine in the car. I hear they are expensive so I would like to be pretty confident that this is the issue before replacing them.
