My car transmission seems to slip when taking corners, and when going from neutral to 1st. Also, my led status window (idk what its called) is messing up. I have red lines through everything, and can barely ready anything on it anymore. Whats more, is taht randomly, my gear indicator will turn completely read to the point where i cant even see what gear im in. Turning off the car and on, fixes the red out... but it seems like the display in general is getting nworse.
these seem to be related. when my gear indicator "reds out" the car starts doing more of the slipping.
i know this is vague, but Audi wants like $100+ to take a look. I dont have that kind of money.

update: i did a vag scan, misfire on all 4 cylinders, but i think that might be because of the bigger problem
geting tranny code 17118 which is gear 4 incorrect
and 17125 torque converter.
after reading more on the internet, it may be a TCM issue. my car goes into limp mode sometimes, but its not the limp mode everyone else says. IT doesnt FLASH on my gear indicator, it just straight up turns completely red. when i turn the car off and on it goes back to normal. any other ideas? how do i get to the TCM?
i heard the 17125 called a "death code". pleas esomeone. give me some advise.

woah dude take a chill pill just cuz ur post didnt get answered in a couple of hours doesnt mean nobody on here cares and if you would of done some resurch you would know that the pixlation in the center info display happens to most of the b5's and if you get a code from vag-com you can do a forum search and prolly find someone with the same code that ask a question and it has already been resolved
1. All of our center displays are either fading or having missing pixels. Common non repairable problem you replace the instrument panel.
2. The gears lighting up red means that your TCU has put the transmission into limp mode which limits you to 4th gear, neutral, reverse or park.
I'm sorry, but I don't have my Bentley's with me as I'm traveling.
The TCU is located in the passenger side foot well of the car, near the front of the door. I can't recall if it directly on the floor, or behind the kick panel. If it gets wet from water leaking into the car or driving through heavy rain, it is toast.
Surprisingly, I was having problems with my TCU and got the GIAC tip chip installed and it solved the problem.
With regards to to what broke off, your picture isn't posted.
