Default 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro smoke

Hello. My car is smoking, thick white smoke from the exhaust. 83,000 miles on it. It only smokes when it's not moving, and if I turn the A/C or heat on, it doesn't smoke at all. Anyone know what this might be?

Most common cause is bad turbo seals.

Thanks for the replies. Anyone have an idea of how much this will cost to fix?

Have you determined exactly what the issue is?
