2004 A4 solenoid question
Hey there,
I've recently been having some trouble with my automatic 2004 audi a4 1.8T. To summarize it, whenever I turn the car on, it runs perfectly but when I've driven it for about 25-30 minutes, it starts to have issues whenever I come to a complete stop. If I roll towards a red light and wait for it to turn green and accelerate, there are no issues. However, when I come to a complete stop, the car seems to have difficulty catching when I let go of the break. Usually, the rpm gauge fluctuates when I release the break and after stopping and going several times, the car stalls on occasion as well on release of the break. The car also seems to idle rough whenever I come to a complete stop after a longer period of driving. I've spoken to several mechanics as well as the audi dealership in my town and most of them have told me the issue is that the "lock up does not disengage" and the part that's causing the issue is the "lock up solenoid" but none of them can find just the solenoid or even give me a part number to do research on the issue myself. I was wondering if anyone here could offer input as to what the part number for the "lock up solenoid" is and if there's anywhere I can purchase one. Thanks in advance!
