couple questions...

i have a 2001 a4 1.8t sport with the engine code awm. it has a red tag on the 1.8t badge in the back. definetly has the b5 facelift. i have been told it is a 25th anniversary editon with the 190 hp. is this correct? does anyone have any other information on this specific model?

im pretty sure that the red tag on the back just started back in 2001 and that all it means

 

from what i know (and im pretty sure this is the down skinny) is that it has the sport package.. pretty sure its till 170hp with the K03s turbo.. and the red flag is just to designate that its the sport package

 

my brother and I both have 2001.5 1.8ts AWM. They have the sport package which is an upgraded suspension, the front is like an S4 (rear is a little different), and it has a KO3s (sport turbo) 170hp.

 

It doesn't mean it has the spots package. That's just how the T on the 1.8t is on the 2001. (Probably because of the Ko3s turbo-170 hp not 150 hp)

My 01 has it and I definitely didn't have the sports package.

 

You're right, the red flag really just means it's a 2001 with 170hp; nothing to do with whether it has the sport package or not.
