Read the FAQ sticky at the top of the B5 forum. Then read it again. Then ask real questions.

First thing I would do with a car with that many problems is strip it down and replace the timing belt, tensioner, pulley, and water pump. They have to be replaced every 60-80k miles and since yours has 180k on it it's probably due. Next take it to autozone figure out what cylinder is misfiring an why then go from thete

Sorry if I came off as a dick, but it's very difficult for us to answer your questions in a meaningful way if you don't have any real direction yet. The codes that triggered your CEL are an excellent place to start.

So i have returned from autozpwnd with a handfull of CEL error codes and an updated priority list and i have a barn full of auto mechanic tools and lots of time an patience as well as a mechanical inclination that exceeds the minimum needed to perform the repairs/maint./mods that this carso desperately needs.

I also have a TON of service records and repair invoices complete with everything from timing job invoice to scheduled oil change records
